RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN DISCOVERY (H/F)


The company is seeking a talented and motivated scientist to join its team (juniors accepted if 1st experience in antibodies eg. internship)
The successful candidate will join the Discovery Team and can expect to be involved in a broad range of activities in antibody discovery and characterization.
Essential functions
The main duties of the role will include antibody selection, screening and characterisation.
- Conduct selection campaigns for the development of antibodies
- Independently design, execute and interpret experiments
- Write laboratory procedures with attention to detail
- Work with other team members to drive programs forward
- May develop new technologies to be implemented to the discovery pipeline
- Participate to the overall lab organization
- Present results internally and to collaborators
Education and Person Specification
- Hold a master’s degree ideally in biotechnology / immunology / immuno-oncology
- Industry experience of at least 1 year in antibody discovery/antibody engineering
- Have hands-on experience with phage display, cell culture, molecular biology and flow cytometry
- Experience in NGS, SPR/BLI and protein expression/purification is a plus
- Proactive to come up with ideas to drive projects and processes optimisation forward
- Willingness to acquire expertise with new technologies and to look for new methods
- Proactive with a willingness to tackle both new and routine tasks
- Work closely with other team members to drive programs forward
- Have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Participate to the overall lab organization
- Good written and oral communication skills (present results internally and to collaborators, write reports and laboratory procedures)
- Be organized and able to work under tight deadlines
- Be flexible to adapt to a fast-paced environment
